The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter

Hello guys, I’ve been trying a solid cleanser/cleansing balm (or butter), I originally want to try Banila Co Clean It Zero since so many people rave it , but it’s kind of pricey 😩 *sobs*, so I decided to get this one instead, it’s from The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter.

I bought this when my friend bought other stuff at The Body Shop store, I tried the tester and I believe that this is cleansing balm , a bit confuse at first because it’s written cleansing butter, makes me think it’s something similar with body butter or lip butter. 😅

image

It cost me IDR 199.000 or around 15 dollars (I think it could be 15-19 dollars. Depends on the currency).

image

No inner lid inside, and I don’t want to scoop it with my finger, or even nails 😓. So, I put a clean spatula inside, on top of the product.

Always use it with clean and dry hands. I only use a tiny amount, just the size of the spatula, put it on my hand, and then start to rub it between hands until it turns into oil, and then apply it to your face and neck (I usually use it on my neck too, since the dust and pollutant also leave dirt on neck).
Give a little massage without too much pressure.
After that, wet your hands, rub it to your skin to dissolve the oil until it turn into milky white, and then rinse it off.
It’s written you can also wipe it with wet cotton, but I prefer to wash it with lots of water.
Basicly, it’s a similar method like cleansing oil.

image

After several weeks of use, I gain no breakout or alergic or any other bad reaction. I love it, love the scent, love how it works, love how it’s not gonna leak when I bring it around for travelling.
It’s quite huge but also quite thin, makes it less bulky.

I have dry, acne prone and quite sensitive skin. It did a good job removing makeup (I always double cleanse when I use make up).
Very recommended for traveller.

It doesn’t dry out my skin after using it , while face wash or many cleansers usually dry out our skin and make skin feels a bit tight.
It feels a bit moist though (if that makes sense) and doesn’t leave any sticky or oily feeling.

I don’t use it on area around my eyes, I use makeup remover on that area, but I use it on lips. My suggestion is clean the lips using makeup remover in prior before using this cleansing butter because… It doesn’t really take all of those lip product especially when those lips on dry condition (lip products here such as liquid lipstick, lip tint, and other staining and waterproof lip product).
Maybe it’s not for waterproof makeup, but other than that, it’s a great product.

That’s all for my review. Hope you guys find it useful.

Catrice Absolute Eye Colour 920 Game of Stones

Makeup Review!! 🙂

It’s a brand from Germany named Catrice. I’ve tried their brow pencil, brow powder and highlighter (?) pencil too, I haven’t review it , I only did review on their primer and bronzer Catrice Bronzer and Primer, I might do it later, but now I want to do a review about their matt(e) single eyeshadow.

image

Love the name, remind me to HBO movie series Game of Thrones 😍.
As I remember, most of the single eyeshadows are matte, or maybe all of them are matte (not sure).

I got this on drugstore around 4 dollars, so affordable 😘.

image

image

The reason I choose this shade is because I want to use it for my eyebrows and also for my lashline (I’m not so into eyeliner, they’re too bold and sometimes expired easily and my eyes just can’t handle that).

image

It’a cool toned gray/grey, a bit of ash in it. For brows or contour, cool tone suits me better, but for foundation and lip colour, warm tone suits me better.

The texture a bit chalky if I rub it too much, so I usually build it up until the desire amount of opacity.
It is quite pigmented, but not as pigmented as Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette

image

image

I use double ended Crown Brush to do my brows with it, glide on and build up easily, and then brush it with spoolie to make it look more natural. Sometimes I put brow mascara on top to keep it stay in place all day (of course without naughty fingers rubbing the brows throughout the day 😚).

That’s all for my quick review.
Hope you guys find it useful.

Hada Labo Gokujyun Alpha Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream

Hello, back again with skincare review. I’ve finally decided to try this cream after I use the Lotion and Milk since many years ago. This line also have serum but I might try that later (also waiting for sale 😚😋).

Without further do, let’s start!

image

The packaging is so simple, just light weight plastic, 50ml but not too bulky, I kinda like it, save up so much space and reduce the weight of my suitcase when I bring it with me for travel.

image

I forgot to take a photo of the box, so sorry 😅.
This is license from Rohto Japan, so it’s not written in Japanese.
I got this around 8 dollars I believe, with 20% off.

image

It has inner lid, maybe to prevent from leaking, BUT… this cream in my opinion will not leaking at all.
Why? because it has a very very thick consistency. Even when I’m put it upside down like this, it doesn’t move at all.

image

Yes it is very sticky too, but after keep on patting and let it set for a few minutes, it’s not sticky anymore, and we can go to bed and have a nice sleep.

I usually use it in moderate amount after Lotion and Milk. If I use it too much, it gets harder to be absorb and it might be too rich for the skin.

I have dry skin so it really helps to moisturize my skin at night, and I gain no breakout.

image

You can always use spatula but because the diameter is really small for it, I usually just poke my clean finger in it. I know it’s not quite hygienic but putting spatula outside and exposed also not a good choice either.

Overall I love this night cream. Quite affordable with 50ml size jar (I hope they have a squeeze tube version, that would be more hygienic).
Really recommend for dry skin.

That’s all for my quick review. Hope you guys find it useful.

Mamonde Rose Water Soothing Gel

Annyeong Haseyo 🙋
Hey guys, been away for a while. I’m back to do a review about this moisturizer gel from Korean brand called Mamonde (* mamongdeu ;))

I bought this from my friend around October last year. It cost me around 10 dollars for 300ml.
The concept is similar with the Aloe Vera Gel or Snail Gel version from other brands.

image

Pink rose, I was gonna say the meaning of it, but unfortunately I don’t know, hahaha. I only know Red Rose for love, Yellow Rose for friendship (correct me if I’m wrong).

image

The packaging is made of plastic but it’s quite sturdy, without inner lid.
I think it’s also multi purpose gel, I’m not really sure since it’s all written in Korean (I can read Hangul but I don’t speak Korean).

image

image

It has rose scent, not too strong and not too soft.
Texture, not too thick and not too watery, it’s moving when I tilt it.
But, one suggestion for you guys, do not put your gel type moisturizer in a hot room temperature.
I put it inside my cupboard but I don’t know why somehow the temperature inside it is as hot as my room (while I’m going out for a day). In my room at my house in different city is not like this, eventho the room’s temperature os hot, but not inside my cupboard.
The result is, the heat change the gel’s texture. Now, it’s getting more watery and smells a bit different than before.

image

Anyway, for the gel itself, it doesn’t feel sticky that long. It’s easy to absorb, I usually use it on my face, and around belly+chest.
For my dry skin, it’s not moisturizing enough if I use it alone. I layer this with other moisturizer to get a better hydration.

It’s also a good product for burnt skin, I mean like sunburnt or splashed by hot oil while frying, because it’s soothe the skin, reduce inflammation as a first aid.
Not bad for 10 dollars multi purpose gel.

That’s all for my quick review.
Hope you guys find it useful.

The Balm and LT Pro Liquid Lip Colour Matte

Hello. How are you guys in this May? May all the good things come to your life ☺.

Okay, now back to the topic. I haven’t reviewing any liquid lipstick/lip matte before (eventho I only have two), but anyway I want to give review about the products.

image

The first one I have is The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes in shade Committed. I got this around 15 dollars.

The second one is a local brand LT Pro Long Lasting Matte Lip Cream in shade number 5. I got this as a birthday gift from my sister.
As I knew the price is around 7 dollars.

image

image

image

The Balm have a creamy texture and will set into a matte finish after around 15 seconds (more or less).
The scent is a sweet cookie or candy (not sure, but it is sweet).

Pigmentation is really good, I use it in a thin layer, that works better for my dry lips.
I put a first thin layer, press my lips together and then blot it with tissue, repeat the second layer, press my lips together and blot again with tissue, and then let it dry and set into a matte finish.
This will create a better and smoother surface thin layer.

Staying power is quite good if it’s dealing with water, but if it’s oily food then it might fading (remember, makeup remover usually have an oil too to remove waterproof make up, right?).

image

Sorry for the veins. I don’t why it’s that obvious (my friends said I’m quite “transparent” 😑:?)

LT Pro have more powdery texture rather than creamy. The scent is kinda sweet but not too sweet either. It set into a matte finish quite fast, less than 10 seconds I guess. It feels like a different result on lips for a liquid lip colour, I’ve tried some from other brands too (but it’s my friend’s stuff 😄), and most of them have a similar texture with the balm, while this one is more powdery, even when I touch it with my finger, it feels literally powdery but thin layers, doesn’t feel too thick or heavy.

Pigmentation is quite good, usually lighter colour have a bad pigmentation while this one is quite pigmented, it also good a base colour before putting on a bold colour.

Staying power is so so in my opinion, but we can always do touch up, right?

Overall, I love these two, both when I wear it alone or mix it with another colour or another product.
That’s all for my quick review.
Hope you guys find it useful.

Innisfree Olive Real Essential Oil EX

Hello guys… 🙋

Been a long time. I’m back with skin care review, I’ve been using this for several months, it’s been around 8 months, wow it last quite a long time for a 30ml size.

It’s Innisfree face oil. As I knew they do have some variant but I wanted to try the Olive Real Essential Oil first instead of Green Tea Seed Oil, the other face oil is Soybean Oil.

image

The packaging is a glass bottle with pipette like most of face oil or serum packaging.
It is convenient to use, but not to bring with while travelling.

image

I usually use 2-3 drops in the evening, sometimes in the morning too when my skin feels more dry than usual (I’m dry to normal skin).

Texture is quite light, easy to absorb even before putting on make up. Sometimes I mixed it with my cream moisturizer or with my foundation to get a more glowy and moisturized look.

image

image

The smell a bit annoy me and not my favourite. I don’t know what Olive’s scent should be, but this is smells like Citrus.
The smell dissapear tho after some seconds, but still, not my fave.

When I first get my hand on this , I feel like “30ml, I think I will use it up quite fast”, but apparently this is still last after 8 months of use, and I still have a quarter left.

The price around 23 dollars, if it last for 10 months then it will be like less than 3 dollars a month.

I like what it did to my skin on moisturizing a little longer and makes my skin look healthier and plump in the next morning.
It also doesn’t break me out, just remember guys, do not use it too much, 2-3 drops is enough ☺👍.

I want to try the soybean face oil. It’s on my wish list now.

That’s all for my quick review, hope you guys find it useful.
Thank you for reading.

L’oreal Mat Magique BB Essence

Hello again.
I almost forgot about this product. I wonder about this product because the wand is in unique shape, but to me apparently it became a bad thing.
Here’s the look :

image

It is quite small, but made of glass so it’s heavier than BB or CC cream packaging.

image

Here’s the wand, pointy wand, but the problem is the foundation itself is very liquidy, and I can’t get enough amount if I use the wand, I ended up have to pour it anyway.

image

Shake the bottle before using it, it’s a transparent liquid at the top and the foundation underneath.
Once it set, it turn out to be powdery finish.

image

For dry skin, it’s not that moisturizing, and I have to blend it immediately before it sets on my skin.

Sheer coverage, it feels lightweight for everyday use but unfortunately it makes me got a breakout.

That’s all for my short review, hope you guys find it useful.
