The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter

Hello guys, I’ve been trying a solid cleanser/cleansing balm (or butter), I originally want to try Banila Co Clean It Zero since so many people rave it , but it’s kind of pricey 😩 *sobs*, so I decided to get this one instead, it’s from The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter.

I bought this when my friend bought other stuff at The Body Shop store, I tried the tester and I believe that this is cleansing balm , a bit confuse at first because it’s written cleansing butter, makes me think it’s something similar with body butter or lip butter. 😅

It cost me IDR 199.000 or around 15 dollars (I think it could be 15-19 dollars. Depends on the currency).

No inner lid inside, and I don’t want to scoop it with my finger, or even nails 😓. So, I put a clean spatula inside, on top of the product.

Always use it with clean and dry hands. I only use a tiny amount, just the size of the spatula, put it on my hand, and then start to rub it between hands until it turns into oil, and then apply it to your face and neck (I usually use it on my neck too, since the dust and pollutant also leave dirt on neck).
Give a little massage without too much pressure.
After that, wet your hands, rub it to your skin to dissolve the oil until it turn into milky white, and then rinse it off.
It’s written you can also wipe it with wet cotton, but I prefer to wash it with lots of water.
Basicly, it’s a similar method like cleansing oil.

After several weeks of use, I gain no breakout or alergic or any other bad reaction. I love it, love the scent, love how it works, love how it’s not gonna leak when I bring it around for travelling.
It’s quite huge but also quite thin, makes it less bulky.

I have dry, acne prone and quite sensitive skin. It did a good job removing makeup (I always double cleanse when I use make up).
Very recommended for traveller.

It doesn’t dry out my skin after using it , while face wash or many cleansers usually dry out our skin and make skin feels a bit tight.
It feels a bit moist though (if that makes sense) and doesn’t leave any sticky or oily feeling.

I don’t use it on area around my eyes, I use makeup remover on that area, but I use it on lips. My suggestion is clean the lips using makeup remover in prior before using this cleansing butter because… It doesn’t really take all of those lip product especially when those lips on dry condition (lip products here such as liquid lipstick, lip tint, and other staining and waterproof lip product).
Maybe it’s not for waterproof makeup, but other than that, it’s a great product.

That’s all for my review. Hope you guys find it useful.
Thanks for reading.

Review Everyday Minerals Powder Foundation

Hello guys, I’ve been on hiatus and not take care of my blog for a few weeks, hehehe, sorry. I already have some pictures prepared to be posted in blog but I’m too lazy to write *bad habit*.

Okay, now I want to review about my first mineral foundation, it’s Everyday Minerals powder foundation. It looks similar with micro filled loose powder, soft and give a smooth finish on my face.

I got this in travel size for IDR 48.000 each at online shop indomakeup.com. The size is very small, only 1gram, but I think I can use it for several times. It has a lid inside with some holes to pour the product.

I got this in shade Fairly Light Matte and Medium Semi Matte. At first I thought Fairly Light would be a bit lighter than my skintone, but I was wrong, it’s slightly darker, but it’s yellow undertone, (I think I’m yellow and warm undertone, and I guess I’m around NC25) so, no problem. The result is matte finish, staying power is quite long lasting, oil control is just so-so, I have combo skin type, oily at T-zone only.

The other one is Medium Semi Matte, this one is pink undertone, and it’s darker than fairly light. I usually put this powder on top of my foundation with slightly lighter color than my skintone. The result is a bit dewy, I think it’s more like satiny finish, but still looks a bit similar with the matte one in my opinion.

I’m planning on to try the other shades such as Fair Medium, Light, and Fairly Light Neutral. I’m still wondering which one is my shade, so I will keep on trying to find it (I said it like if it’such a treasure or something). LOL.

Update : now I already found my shade, it is Golden Fair. It has a yellow undertone so it matches my undertone. So happy I can find the right shade for me 🙂

How I put my brushes after cleaning.

I used to wash my brushes and then lay it flat and cover it with tissue, like this.

image

But then I change it and became like this which is covers the brushes more and vertical position makes the water won’t get back to the ferrule. So it won’t loosen the glue and keep the bristles secure and less shedding.

image

I read this tips from the package of Coastal Scents brush guard, but unfortunately I only have brush guard for eye brushes/shadow pack, eventho it’s written blush pack on the package.

image

image

I can’t find online shop who sell brush guard for blush/foundation/powder pack.
So I use tissue to wrap big brushes and secure it with elastic hairband, and then put my brushes in a jar (ex hair conditioner jar, mehehehe) or a plastic airtight box with the bristles down below.

If you do know where to buy brush guard for big brushes (including kabuki brush), please let me know.

Thanks for reading.
