L’oreal Revitalift Eye Cream & Night Cream

Another skin care review…
Back then I already did a review about L’oreal moisturizers, the Hydra Fresh and White Perfect series, you can check it here

Right now I want to do a review from the Revitalift line, which is for the aging treatment series.

The first one is the Revitalift Double Eye Lift eye cream.
The packaging is made of plastic, it’s very light weight and easy to bring with.

image

It use two pumps because the white one for under eye and the red one is for eyelid. I squeeze it one by one though, not all together at the same time, but I do MIX these two together before apply it to my under eye and eyelid. Somehow I don’t really like the feeling of the red gel itself if it’s not mix with the white cream on my eyelid.

Texture of the cream is a bit thick but bleandable, the texture of the gel is… like a gel (what else can I type?).
This eye cream is hydrating enough especially when I’m wearing make up, it maintain the hydration because usually my under eye suddenly looks so dry after putting on make up on my under eye area.

image

For the face product, I choose the Revitalift Laser X3 Night Cream-Mask, to me, it looks like a reguler night cream and that’s what I usually use of it, as a night cream.
The packaging is made of thick glass jar and seriously HEAVY, not travel friendly, should move it to a smaller and lighter jar for travel.

image

Texture, it looks like PUDDING!!
I don’t think it’s the most suitable word to call it but it really reminds me of a slightly-melting-pudding.
It always back to be a flat surface, eventho I dig it quite deep or mess it up.

The performance is great for all night hydration, eventho it feels a bit greasy for quite a while, better keep on tapping it on skin while waiting for it to be absorbed (I suggest do not directly sleep and placing your face on pillow before it absorbed by the skin properly).

To be honest I don’t really like tge smell of the Revitalift line, but I do really like the smell from White Perfect and Hydra Fresh line.

image

It has an inner lid, but sometimes it could be troublesome, and I usually ended up toss it somewhere else. 😄

That’s all for my review, hope you guys find it usefull.

Maybelline + Maxfactor undereye concealer, LA Girl Pro Conceal Corrector.

Hello everyone, back again with make up review. This time is all about under eye concealer.
This time I brought 3 under eye concealers. I belief it’s all drugstore brand, which is affordable for most of people.
They are Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer, Maxfactor Master Touch Under-eye Concealer, LA Girl Pro Conceal Orange Corrector.

Okay, let’s start with Maybelline first. I got this in Fair shade, actually I want the Light one, but this shade is the only what’s left at the online store, and because I really curious about this product, so I go for it.

image

As you can see, the packaging is so cute in my opinion, unlike any other concealer, clear plastic packaging with round large sponge tip. To make the product out is just twist the red ring under the cap, and then dab dab dab to under eye area.

image

Sorry, the picture keep blurring even after I took so many shots of it. Guess my camera is a fool.
I’ll try to take a better picture next time and update it.
The sponge feels a bit bouncy and have textures, not the flat “blender sponge” type of thing.
For the coverage, I love this, especially if I use it on top of LA Girl Orange Corrector.
Blendable both with finger or tools, not drying, but it doesn’t mean that it’s moisturizing, it’s just not dry and patchy.
Staying power is quite impressive with average sweat in a humid place here.

image

Next, is Maxfactor Master Touch Under-eye Concealer.
I bought this at the year end sale last year, who can resist BOGO(F) anyway?? Hahaha…

I decided to take the shade Fair, the packaging is so lightweight and feels so plastic, but it’s easy to carry around such as in a purse or to bring with in a travelling.

It’s similar to Maybelline for the twisting thing, but the shape and texture of the sponge applicator is different.

image

The sponge applicator is angled and “blender sponge” type of thing but stiff.
I prefer to dab some dots on my under eye area, or put it at tge back of my hand and then dab it on my under eye.

Texture is quite liquidy-creamy, not too thin and not too thick consistency.
Coverage is sheer, it cannot really cover my LA Girl Orange corrector well and I ended up look like Oompa Loompa, hahaha.
So, what I did after applying LA Girl is put on my foundation first, and then I apply Maxfactor Concealer.

image

Next is LA Girl Pro Conceal Orange Corrector.
This one is a squeezable tube type of packaging. Small and handy, I think this one is the cheapest from all. The most expensive is the Maybelline.

image

As you can see, the concealer have a brush on it, synthetic white bristles, but it will become orange once you squeeze the tube and use the product, but you can always wash it though to make it clean again.

image

The texture of the corrector is a bit thick for me, so I only use it in a Small Amount, and not directly apply it on my under eye because it has a tendency to put on too much product.
So, what I did is put it on the back of my hand, and then dab it on under eye, build it up slowly and blend it. After that, put on concealer or foundation on top of it.

I suggest you to use eye cream or moisturise your under eye area in prior to avoid dry looking skin and patchy result.

All of the swatches coming soon, once I did all of the swatches I will upload it soon.

That’s all for my review, hope you guys find it usefull.

BH Cosmetics Thats Heart Palette

Hello everyone, how you doin??? Sorry for not updating this post quite so long, Hehehe… so now I want to finish what I’ve started, doing swatch and review about BH Cosmetics That’s Heart Palette, the name of That’s Heart refers to Thats Heart beauty youtuber on youtube. Just like It’s Judytime.

image

I bought this from @bebehaven on Instagram for about IDR 180.000, it has a cute pinky color theme and white lace, eventho not a real lace, just printed white lace. It has a mirror inside with a shape of heart. 2 rows of eyeshadows, 4 bright colors and 4 neutral colors. 1 highlighter and 1 bronzer/contour shade in half moon shape. Last, one full rounded pink blush.

image

image

image

image

The lighter colors aren’t really pigmented and have much more shimmer + glitter in it. Most of them are satiny finished, one glittery white, and one matte dark purple. The texture of the matte purple is not as smooth as the neutral row. The glittery white have a hard texture, not buttery.
Well, my faves are the neutral row, but the pink, purple, and turquoise is not that dissappointing either, I can use it for unformal event, or when I feel like I have a rainbow in my heart, hahaha~

For the highlighter, it has a tiny shimmer in it but soft, so it just give me a little glow. The contour one is pigmented, dark brown color without a hint of red, remind me to Coastal Scents 6 contour blush palette. The blush also pigmented but blendable, a baby pink color. Both are matte.

image

image

image

Sorry, pardon my camera that catch it in different lighting, well, it’s not human’s eyes. I use the upper row (bright colors) of the eyeshadow.

image

image

image

The size of this palette is similar with CD or DVD, so easy to carry in your purse or when you’re on a plan to travel. All you need is in this palette. Just bring some extra brushes and makeup base for a more flawless look.

That’s all for my review, hope you guys find it useful, thanks for reading everyone.

Angled Brushes : Sigma F84, Coastal Scents & E.L.F Angled Blush Brush

Nowadays, so many types of brushes are coming out every year. Some of the favourite face brushes are powder brush, foundation brush, and blush brush.
There’s so many types of brush out there, tapered, flat, round & fluffy, or angled.
Now I’m gonna do a short review about angled brushes, I don’t have this kind of brush that much, but I think 3 is enough for comparison, and these are American brand.

First, it’s Sigma F84. It’s quite big, sturdy material, black glossy handle with silver ferrule, kinda heavy. The bristles are so densely packed and super soft, not pricky, two tone color synthetic bristles. I love to use it as foundation brush/bb cream, powder brush, or blush brush, but personally I don’t really like to use it for contour/highlight, makes me put too much product on my face (or is it just me?,lol).
Already washed it million times but no shed appear. I bought this online for about IDR 250K (less or more) or around USD24 back in the end of the year 2012.

In 2014 I decided to get some of angled brushes again but with less dense bristles. First, I got my hand on e.l.f angled blush brush. I got this online for IDR 70K or around USD6 more. It is small, feels a bit plasticky as usual but not as pricky as the stipple brush. Good for highlight and contour.
It’a black matte doff handle with glossy black ferrule, and full black synthetic bristles. Don’t know why but my e.l.f brushes always tend to get wobbly between the handle and ferrule after several months of use. So, I need to push the handle into the ferrule each time it happens. Other than that, the bristles still works well and only have a tiny amount of shed. But this one is still new so it’s still sturdy.

One day I decided to purchase another angled blush brush and it’s from Coastal Scents from their Elite line. Bamboo handle (vegan all the way), black doff ferrule, with full white synthetic bristles. Some people said this is a dupe for Sigma F40. This brush also feels so sturdy, just like Sigma but lighter. I got this online for IDR 80K or around USD7 more. I use this for applying blush, contour, highlight, and also setting powder. Such a multitask brush with affordable pricetag.

Here’s the look of them:

Coastal Scents Palettes

Coastal Scents, this brand famous for their palettes and brushes. They are affordable and have a good quality for beginner in make up who wants to have a palette or brush sets.

About a month ago, I got some of their palettes after 1 and half months waiting (Pre Order across nations). I bought the 6 contour blush palette (6 highlight, contour, & blush shades), 32 lip palette 32 lip colors, and camo quad concealer in medium.

You can check it on their website CoastalScents.com

6 Contour Blush Palette

“Get cheeky! Create perfect cheekbones, definition and warmth with six oversized matte shades providing contouring, highlighting and bronzing. Mix and blend, having fun while accenting your cheekbone structure and bronzing for that instant and much-envied ‘just-returned-from-the-beach-look’!”

I’m gonna do a review on 6 contour blush palette first. This palette contains of 3 shades of highlighter (white, creme, peach), 1 shade of bronzer (dark brown), and 2 shades of blusher (bright pink, darker pink), and it’s all MATTE. For you matt(e) lovers, you’re gonna love this.

image

The packaging is a black doff type of case, plastic, quite solid and thin so it doesn’t take a lot of space when it stored. Made in China, Net Wt. 81gr/2.85oz. So, it means 13.5gr each. Yes, it is quite big, kinda shock when I first saw these, hahaha~

Now, moving on to the swatch:

image

Here’s the swatch, the colors are pigmented with only one swipe. After blend it all out by wiping it off with tissue, I found that bold colors have a better pigmentation and staying power, the lighter shades easily gone.

When I use the blush, I only need a bit to do my cheeks. At first, I applied it a bit too much, I suggest you to use a fluffy and not too dense blush brush, otherwise you will look like a clown.
Staying power is soooo crazy, I need to use makeup remover to remove the blush!!
Kinda creepy, but I like to use it as an eyeshadow also. You can build it up from soft light pink to bold bright pink.

The contour shade is quite dark, if you are light to medium skintone, use it lightly, otherwise you can ended up look muddy.

Like many people said, 2 of the highlighter shade (creme and peach) not really showed up on light to medium skintone. So, i also use the white color for highlighting.
But I use the peach and creme color for eyeshadow to brighten up my eyelids. Sometimes I also use the creme color to set my undereye concealer.

Overall, this palette is great, recomended. I’m so happy to have this on my makeup deco family. Also, this is all in one face makeup decorative product. Blusher, contour, and highlighter on the go. You can do a complete face makeup with this palette when you are travelling. No need to bring a separate products, helps you to organize aswell.

This is the ingredients:

32 Lip palette. 32 lip colors.

“Live, laugh and love with lovely lips!
Whatever your coloring, fashion or mood, enjoy thirty-two long-lasting lip shades in one palette to achieve lip color bliss. From sheer and shiny to neutral and natural or dramatically bold, this lip palette sleekly houses a color range perfect for custom blending to achieve that ideal shade. Think of it as your one-stop-shop for endless lovely lips!”

image

This lip palette contains of 32 colors mix of sheer and shiny to neutral and natural or bold. Has a creamy texture, easy to blend, but it does transfer and easily gone just like any other lipstick if you’re eating or drinking or licking your lips. Before apply this lip color, I suggest you to put on your lip balm first because it’s a bit drying to lips.

The packaging is a black doff type of case, plastic, quite solid and thin so it doesn’t take a lot of space when it stored. Made in China, Net Wt. 21.4gr/0.75oz. So, it means 0.6gr each. Kinda small comparing to normal size of 4gr lipstick, but hey, you got a 32 colors.

Here’s the ingredients:

image

Here’s the swatch:

image

I use the most:
1 bc
2 a
3 bcd
4 d
7 ab
8 ab

I love the creme color as a base and neutralize my lip color for a more vivid result. And then the light pink and fuschia able to make an ombre lips. The brown-ish nude colors to make a nude look. When I tried to use the purple colors, it reminds me to Nicky Minaj, hahaha~
Don’t know somehow purple-ish tone color make my face looks pale.

image

I use 1B as a base color, and then I put 3B on top of it all over the lips, and last I use 3D on the inner part of my lips to create an ombre/gradation effect.

Camo quad in Medium.

Here’s the look:

image

Here’s the ingredients:

image

The packaging is a black doff type of case, with clear plastic cap, quite solid and thin so it doesn’t take a lot of space when it stored. Made in China, Net Wt. 12.5gr/0.44oz. So, it means 3.1gr each.

The swatch:

image

This quad concealer in Medium have a creamy texture and powdery finish. Have a sheer to medium coverage. I prefer to use it as an undereye concealer rather than blemish concealer because it doesn’t really cover the blemishes. Staying power so-so, it starts to fade after around 4 hours, and my blemishes start to pop-up again.

Sometimes I use the white part for highlight my nose bridge, but the darkest color must be blended with the medium color for covering blemishes. I use the light beige and medium color for undereye area.

That’s all for my review about these palettes. Hope you guys find it useful.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

It’s been a long time since the first time I want to have this crayon-look-a-like lip color. This shade is quite popular so it’s a bit hard to be found on the store. When I’m on a holiday with my friend in another city, I found this shade on the store, so I grab this immediately. This shade is Honey Douce, I bought it for IDR 80k. This is how it looks like:

image

If you wonder how long the content, I’ll show you.

image

Basicly, you only need to twist the bottom/silver part just like when you’re using lipstik, but this one have unique style of packaging, looks like crayon.

The texture is soft, have a satiny finish and minty sensation a little, remind me of mint candy. When first applied, it looks pink mauve nude color.

image

image

I usually swipe it more than 1 layer, so the stain became a bit bright on me.
The color of the stain looks similar to this, reddish pink, brighter then when I first apply it. Staying power quite long for the stain, around 6 hours it’s still there eventho a bit faded already.

image

I think the darker the color have the better pigmentation and staying power.
Hope you guys find it useful.

Review Lipsmacker Coca Cola Lipgloss

Hello, this review is about lipgloss with cute packaging. This product is from Lipsmacker. I got this in Coca Cola version. I bought it from local online shop for about IDR 38k. This is how it looks.

image

The wand is too long so I need to push it while closing the cap after using it. It feels a bit weird, never found this style of lipgloss concept before, but me no likey.

image

The smell is remind me of cola candy. Smells yummy, the color of it is glossy brown just like cola, but when blended it became transparent with glitter, unfortunately I don’t like glitter on lip product, so I’m not gonna repurchase this. The texture is not too sticky, easy to blend, and moisturizing, actually it such a nice texture.

image

image

When I read the box, it is written that this lipgloss is for a kid (T^T), ouwh…
Well, I can put this package of lipgloss on my used make up & cute make up package collection (^_^).

Pros :
+ Cute packaging
+ Nice smell
+ Not sticky texture
+ Moisturizing
+ Light weight feeling
+ Affordable price

Cons :
– Contains glitter
– Unproper length of the wand
– FOR A KID!!!

That’s all for my review, hope you guys find it useful.
Thanks for reading.
